Steve Sidelnyk's Bumper Footie Blog Part 2! Friday 13th December 2013

A serious beginning to this week blog with the sad passing of a true hero of mine in Nelson Mandela.
He was an inspiration for many and its hard to put into words what he in his time endured for the sake of freedom.
This solemn occasion was marked with a minutes clapping in all Premier League games and in fact games around the world to honor the life of an amazing human being.....................Nelson you are now truly free!

I'm starting off in the MLS Cup this week with an amazing game between Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City which ended in stalemate after normal and extra time and then the most amazing penalty shoot-out.
The two best goal-keepers in the MLS both veterans in Sporting Kansas' Danish keeper Jimmy Nielsen who has just announced his retirement from Football, and Real Salt Lake's proven penalty saver in Nick Rimando, both making some crucial saves but after a see-sawing of hits and misses Kansas winning the 2013 MLS Cup...........Gooooooooooooooooooooooooo…
